I founded the North Northants LGBT+ Forum as a result of the Northamptonshire Unitary council split, and wanting to ensure the voices of the LGBT+ community in North Northants was represented.
I was born and raised in Northamptonshire but moved to Derby for University before moving back to Northamptonshire in 2018. In that time I have been employed to represent different groups across both an Educational, and organisational, setting. I helped form a number of LGBT+ staff networks, and currently lead the network for North Northamptonshire Council; this is alongside my day job as a Project Co-ordinator at the council.
My main aim, as the very first Chair for the Forum, is to build strong foundations so that it may prosper and increase its reach in the future. I am learning every day what it takes to build the forum up, which is very different from a staff network, and hope when my time as Chair comes to an end I can pass it on in a healthy state for the next person to take it even further.

Hello my name is Jonathan and I have lived in Northamptonshire for 12 years. My background is within the voluntary sector working with charities for 22 years. I am currently working with SERVE as Countywide Befriending Manager.
I was elected Community Co-Chair for the North Northamptonshire LGBT+ Forum in January 2022. I am passionate about LGBT+ matters, and interested in bringing communities together, empowering environments where people can access, learn, share, and express themselves as much as they feel they want to.
I am committed to prioritising the needs of marginalised and/or less advantaged communities, supporting the need for socially just outcomes.
Working together will have a positive impact.
